The Price Group was a one-person “group” when it started but had what seemed like a secret weapon – marketing. Not just clever ads or media from good old boys for a dollar a holler, but true marketing plans that started with a “Situation Analysis,” flowed through segments like “Competition,” “Opportunities” and “Creative Execution” to end with “Budget” and “Media Strategy.” Later these topics would be replaced with the simpler SWOT analysis just as “image” morphed through “positioning” into “branding.” All were slight changes, slight improvements.
Today, those evolving titles and tactics have jelled into our trademarked concept, “Balanced Execution.” It’s a quick way of explaining why The Price Group has grown from that one-man “group” into one of the largest and most respected ad agencies in West Texas… and why we’re still going strong 35 years later. It’s the balance of creative message with targeted strategy. We understand and respect the value that each aspect brings to the table.
Today many are beginning to question the value of clever ads that leave the audience in stitches but unable to recall the product. At The Price Group we don’t believe that advertisers have to choose between breakthrough creativity and strategic marketing. Effective messages must have both. That was true 35 years ago and still true today as new media from viral campaigns to podcasts and branded entertainment add to our arsenal of delivery vehicles.
The difference today is that The Price Group is a group of professionals with unique skills that combine to produce results far greater than the sum of their parts. Some call it alchemy. We call it “Balanced Execution.”
